Reminder, This $25M Rafael Viñoly Estate is Still Available

New, 7 comments

Is $25M still too much for this modern fortress-like estate designed by Rafael Viñoly located at 7111 Sheaf Lane in Fort Washington? Apparently, the answer is yes. We've been tracking this one since way back in 2012, when it was listed at $30M. It still comes with the crazy amenities: 10-bedroom, 12-bathrooms, 36,957 square-feet, 70 acres, picturesque views of rolling hills — for goodness sake, it's practically a resort. A resort with a tower offering 360 degree views of the surrounding area. As for the rest of the place, it's still flush with other-worldly features: a 20,000 square-foot 'playhouse', two stone farmhouses, a pool with pool house, balconies galore, an enormous shower, theater/media room, a 4,000 bottle wine cellar and an indoor/outdoor tennis facility. Yes, it's a facility and yes, it's all quite beautiful.

Oh, and if you need to make a little income off of this place in order to pay your $343,025 tax bill, it also comes with a 3-bedroom apartment. Gotta pay them bills!

Viñoly, a true "starchitect" and the man behind the Kimmel Center among many other beautiful buildings, is currently charged with renovating the Atlantic Building at 1401 Spruce Street. It's a Post Brother developments that will turn the beautiful Classic-Revival tower, across the street from the Kimmel, into a new residential building with ground-floor retail.
