Curbed Cup 1st Round: (2) Brewerytown vs. (7) Pennsport

New, 12 comments

The first round of the Curbed Cup roars along. Remember: Polls open for 24 hours. Let the eliminations continue!
Brewerytown: Home to one of our favorite corners, Breweytown is about to blow up. MM Partners just announced a $60M investment in the neighborhood and West Girard Avenue is starting to see a rebirth as a commercial corridor with shops like Ry Brew, Shifty's Tacos and High Point Cafe. The best part: Ease of access to both Center City, Fairmount Park and the Philadelphia Zoo.

Pennsport: Here's a new guest to the Curbed Cup party. Pennsport has been busy this year. The southeast Philly 'hood welcomed the new Washington Avenue Pier park and has another on the way down at Pier 68. Stepping off of the riverfront, multiple residential projects have been recently completed or in the works and the area has an up-and-coming restaurant scene — including the possibility of a nano-brewery in the future.
