South Street's smaller, less touristy cousin, Fabric Row, is experiencing a surge in interest and new businesses. In order to maintain the momentum, the Community Design Collaborative put together a plan to make the streetscape more welcoming.
The new plan suggests better lighting, greening (including planters and trees), places to sit, as well as street art and trash cans.
Funding's not secured yet, but the director of the South Street Headhouse district will work with shop owners, neighbors, and the city of Philadelphia to make the plan a reality.
