Washington Avenue Overhaul

Washington Avenue from river to river could soon see some major changes to its road experience as the Planning Commission wants to overhaul parking and traffic patterns. Plans would see reverse parking, improved biking and turning lanes and trimming east/west traveling lanes from four to two. According to Jeanette Brugger from the Planning Commission, improvements could start as early as the fall if financing and approvals are secured. [NBC 10, Photo: Philadelphia2035]
