A large surface parking lot will soon see eight luxury townhomes — ah hem — rise near the corner of Race and Bread Streets in Old City. Just up the street from the Race Street Cafe and directly next to Paddy's Old City Pub, the lot at 230 Race Street will house four-story units designed by Ambit Architecture ranging from $800k up to $1.2m in price. Each four bed, three and a half bath home will have a garage, with two of the units having a two-car garage. The official website also mentions "extra large balconies" in the package. Vickie Davis, the listing agent from Cityspace for the property, mentioned that they look to break ground on the project sometime in August in the hopes of having them ready in around 10 months. The renderings show a modern design with traditional brick elements to fit in with the surrounding area. Large east/west facing windows mean that these homes will have plenty of morning and evening sunlight. Our favorite feature: being mere steps away from the Race Street Pier. · Bread Street Estates [Official]
