The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, a long name easier said in its concise acronym form of PHLCVB, has leased 12,000 square feet of space in the newly renovated 1601 Market Street. PHLCVB, which used to lease 17,000 square feet of space at 1700 Market Street, will move their 50 employes one block east sometime in December and it sees them gain more exposure on the super-busy corner of Center City. The LEED certified building at 1601 Market just underwent a $9m renovation to add a street level glass facade and a second floor for offices. Four tenants have signed on thus far — Bright Horizon's child care facility, TD Ameritrade, Republic First Bank and, of course, PHLCVB. Two spots are up for grabs, one of which could potentially become a restaurant space.
