This Society Hill Dream House Offers Plenty of Vitamin D

New, 2 comments

This amazing house on 3rd and Delancey Street in Society Hill pretty much has it all. The first thing you'll notice is the corner property has 17 windows (!) that overlook one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia and, from the views on the roof deck, you can practically see the entire city. Listed at $975,000, the three bedroom house was completely redone in 2011 to feature two and a half baths, a luxury kitchen with eat-in dining, solid oak floors and a truly magnificent, custom built winding oak staircase that leads to a balcony overlooking the atrium. While the listing mentions the house is "bathed" in natural sunlight thanks to all of those windows, you'll definitely be getting your fair share of Vitamin D while out on the two-tiered custom roof deck — just look at those views! Although it's kind of cheesy for the listing to mention the perfect 100 walk score, it's absolutely true. This is essentially the headhouse to the magical Three Bears Park and playground designed by John F. Collins on cobblestone-clad Delancey Street. Also, it's equally accessible to the craziness of South Street as it is the theaters, bars and restaurants in WashWest or Old City. If you've been looking for a house from the 1850s with insane amounts of natural sunlight and modern touches that happens to be in the nicest neighborhood in Philadelphia, you're probably not going to do much better than this one.
