Old City Penthouse with Open Floor Plan Asks $650K

New, 1 comment

Take a look at this enormous flat in Old City. For $650K, you're looking at 2,663 square feet of mainly open space to design what works best for you. This penthouse unit is in an old industrial warehouse and tries to keep a lot of its former life in the limelight with exposed brick, deep wood tones and metallic materials throughout (including a shimmering back splash). The kitchen looks to be the main event, as it's packed with granite counter tops, designer appliances and an enormous island. The two bedrooms also have a lot going for them, especially the master suite, which comes with a huge bathroom with a large soaking tub and an open closet space with custom cabinets. You know how rehabbed industrial buildings try to keep those large metal sliding doors to maintain the look? This place features a large sliding doors that's made of frosted glass, almost as an homage to its workman-like past while saying, yes, I'm now a modern luxury condo. While the 10-tax abatement is a nice perk, two-car parking and rights to the "huge" roof deck are currently add-ons, which is a little disappointing. Still though, if you're looking for a place near everything Old City has to offer that's just dripping with that modern-industrial type feel, this unit won't let you down. · 501-07 Vine Street #9 [Redfin]
