Michael Vitez, author of "Rocky Stories: Tales of Love, Hope, and Happiness at America's Most Famous Steps," takes a look at Frank Gehry's renovation plans for the Art Museum. Admitting the overall vision for the museum is "for the most part undeniably fabulous," his main concern obviously deals with Gehry's treatment of the Rocky Steps. Having literally wrote the book on the steps, Vitez is concerned that removing the center section would lessen their importance to the droves of people that come to Philly simply to run those steps. "It is a personal statement. They are celebrating their own achievements or seeking motivation for challenges ahead." [Philly.com, Photo: debold.com]
