In case you didn't have enough beer gardens or pop-up events to check out this summer, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Fourth Annual Summer Pop Up Garden officially opens tomorrow night at 5pm. Located at 1438 South Street to the right of Jamaican Jerk Hut, the island style hangout will offer relaxing spaces and a dynamic program of social events. Quizzo and boot-camp style workouts are two of the highlights to go along with some good old fashioned South Street drinks and eats from the famed Jerk Hut and rotating slate of food trucks. Movie nights will also be featured this year — we're pulling for Cool Runnings.
The site of last year's Pop Up Garden on South Broad Street near Spruce Street will soon become the kick-ass condo/hotel megadevelopment from Carl Dranoff — otherwise known as the SLS International.
Still not sure whether or not you're going to have a good time at the Pop Up? Check out this tweet from Newsworks featuring Peter Crimmins straight lampin' in a hammock whilst gazing upon palm trees.
