Philly Land Bank

The first meeting for Philadelphia's Land Bank, a centralized system of buying and selling vacant land and properties owned by the city, was held yesterday. While the meeting was short, apparently only ten minutes, those in attendance were busy, electing officials and adopting bylaws and a budget. Officials include Michael Koonce (chair), Paul Badger (vice-chair), Rick Sauer (secretary) and Jennifer Kates (treasurer) and the initial budget will be $4.1M. [PlanPhilly]
