Drunk History Philadelphia

The Philly episode of Comedy Central's Drunk History airs tomorrow night at 10pm. It was filmed back in January at McGIllins Old Ale House on Drury Street, you know, oldest continually operating tavern in Ye Olde Philadelphia. But did you know that it was originally called The Bell in Hand? Drunkards of the day just took to calling it McGillin's after William McGillin, the bar's original owner. That, and The Bell in Hand is a terrible name for a bar. Welp, that's our little drunk history lesson for you today. [Daily News, Photo: uwishunu]
