New Life for Old Victorian Treasure

223 Chestnut Street, the long-blighted former Native American history museum and "trading post" has been sold to Posel Management. Posel's president, Ross Goldberg, maintains a development plan is in place for the ornate buildings, and hopes reconstruction will begin this year. Goldberg is working with the Historical Commission to preserve as best he can the architecturally significant elements of the two structures, and although poor maintenance had compromised the wrought iron elements of the façade, "the plans for this have been reviewed and approved by the Historical Commission."
