Want More Open Streets in Philly? Tell the City!

Remember when Popemageddon descended onto Philly two weeks ago? Babies were blessed and all that, but so were Philadelphians with car-free, bike-and-pedestrian-friendly streets. Now, the city is asking locals to share their thoughts on putting together an "Open Streets" event this fall. "Though Philadelphia has a history of street festivals and special events, blocking off streets for free play would be a first for the City," the government writes on their website. This comes on the heels of another Open Streets campaign that nearly 4,000 people have signed since the Papal weekend. You in (or out)? Visit the City of Philadelphia's official website to take the 5-question survey.
