It hasn't even been a month since the city revealed renderings for the redesign of LOVE Park/JFK Plaza. Now, the City of Philadelphia's Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy have announced their approval of a public art commission that will light up the Philadelphia's Welcome Center in various colors. The artist team Haddad | Drugan are behind the $230,000 art installation called Chromoscope and say that the "kinetic animating lighting effects on the mural will bring magic to LOVE Park." By "magic" do they mean "aliens"? That's open to interpretation.
