A photo posted by Chuck Bonfig (@chuckseye) on

Plenty of pedestrians, cyclists, and runners took to the Manayunk Bridge this weekend to celebrate its re-opening after 29 years of abandonment. The former trainline path is now the first pedestrian, cyclist-only bridge over the Schuylkill River, according to Mainline Media News. The bridge, which cost $5.7 million to renovate, now connects the Cynwyd Heritage Trail in Lower Merion to Manayunk and the Schuylkill River Trail and is just the start of the ongoing development in the works for the town, reports Newsworks. Check out some of the best Instagrams taken on the bridge from this past weekend.
