Legoland is Coming to Plymouth Meeting Mall in 2017

We highly suggest taking time out of your grownup daily programming for this very important announcement: Legoland is coming to the Philadelphia region. Yesterday Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) announced in a press release that construction for a Legoland Discovery Center would begin next summer at Plymouth Meeting Mall. The 33,000-square-foot indoor space will include Lego play areas, master building classes, party rooms, and a 4D movie theatre.

It will also include Miniland, which will feature famous buildings of Philadelphia in Lego form. (Stay tuned for more details on that—Legoland will hold a community contest to nominate which buildings to create.) When it opens in Spring 2017, it will be located on the south side of the mall, facing the Pa. Turnpike and the AMC Theatre. Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia will be a first for the state and one of nine in the country.
