Like a Taylor Swift/NIN Mashup, This $2.9M House Sort of Works

This New Jersey 19th Century brick estate flies the freak flag. And we like it. Much like that Tay Tay/Trent Reznor mashup circulating the world wide web in recent days, at first blush, the varied elements of the $2,888,888 seven-bedroom, four and a half-bath home seem to go together like pickles and ice cream. But then you find yourself liking it. And it's weird. But that's OK.

This French Normandy inspired home was completely restored in 1999, and features original South Jersey red pine hardwood & slate floors throughout. A gourmet kitchen is featured as the heart of the expansive great room overlooking the Rancocas Creek, and original plasterwork details, crown moldings, custom built-ins "combine seamlessly" with modern design and amenities added on and throughout the main house. There's also a chapel, and religious-themed ornamentation scattered around various rooms in the home. The odd little structure out back may or may not be a portal to a mystical, magical room where a tattooed Russian ballet dancer spins and twirls around in nude tights in perpetuity and makes us all want to believe. In something. If only just a little.
