Next Great City Coalition to Reveal 2015 Policy Agenda

Tomorrow, February 18th, at 10 a.m., the Next Great City Coalition will reveal its 2015 policy agenda for Philadelphia. The event will take place at the PHS pop up garden located at the Shops at Liberty Place Rotunda. The Coalition will identify six initiatives that would lead to renewed investment, energy and strength in the city's neighborhoods, and which will serve as the basis for its upcoming mayoral forum.
The Next Great City Coalition was founded in 2007 and brings together 130 community, faith, environmental, business and union organizations "to create cleaner, safer and healthier Philadelphia neighborhoods." The coalition's policy agenda for 2015 identifies initiatives that will lead to renewed investment, energy and strength in the city's neighborhoods while supporting sustainable practices and an effective city government. Each initiative is accompanied by detailed action steps, which "not only propose what should be improved upon, but also how."

The agenda is being made public ahead of the Coalition's first-announced mayoral forum, which will take place on Tuesday, March 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The event is being held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Philadelphia Flower Show, "Celebrate the Movies," and is free and open to the public.
