$5M Buys You Pup-Friendly Palace at Symphony House

What a difference a few floors (and a few thousand square feet) make. These two residences, both tucked into the 31-story Symphony House on the Avenue of the Arts, couldn't be more different if they tried. Let's start at the bottom, and work our way up. The first listing, a 3 bedroom + den, 3.5 bathroom home on the 26th floor is currently being listed for $1.85 million, and features a separate dining room and 300 square feet of outdoor space. If you plan to use this as a rental property, the first few months are taken care of for you: it's rented through June. The residence also features a little more than 2,000 square feet of living space, floor-to-ceiling windows yielding some pretty nice views, and some perfectly fine finishes.

But take a look at what lies just a few floors up...
Up on the 30th floor, things get a little fancier. This puppy's been wallowing on the market for more than 275 days now, and was recently one of Philly's most expensive listings, at $5.025 million. The 4 bed, 5 bath penthouse is sprawled over 4,569 square feet and features plush finishings that are also Fido-friendly. Per the listing: "Beyond the luxury elements, this home features some very practical amenities, among them a doggy "penthouse run" on the terrace and a full laundry room with pet bath/double stainless soaking tubs." Because if the Master of the House is happy, everybody is.
