Um, whoops? The parcel of land known to some as "Triangle Park" in Bella Vista went under some sudden, and apparently mistaken excavation the other day. A crew from Real Construction Co. was using a backhoe to dig a foundation for housing, when Joel Palmer, founder of Friends of Triangle Park, yelled: "Stop digging immediately!" And so they did, realizing that the site they were supposed to be excavating in fact lay clear across the street. But not before having hauled away six truckloads of dirt potentially contaminated with carcinogenic benzene. [Philly.com]
