Let's just review our calendar real quick:
So perhaps you'd agree that this West Philadelphia "Democratic National Convention!" listing is perhaps taking it just a smidgen too far by charging $2,500 a night for a pull-out sofa that accommodates two? Particularly if it's for this upcoming weekend. It won't even be St. Paddy's Day Week anymore, for crying out loud. Not even by South Street standards.
Per the listing:
Third-floor bedroom and bath (private) with stall shower. Full access to kitchen and wifi. Home is smoke-free and pet-free, and shared by two adults and three children, though third floor is little used. Bed is pullout sofa in quiet library room By arrangement, guests can have access to part of all of our home. Sleeps 11 max. So, assuming that "part of all" actually is a typo, and what it means to say is "part or all," kicking some kids in West Philly out of their rooms between now and the DNC will only set you back $5,300 for a Friday and Saturday night (with 'service fee'). Who's in? Party at Smoke's!
