Pretty Much the Riverfront This Summer is Gonna Be Bangerz

New, 1 comment

Winter is not coming; but it sure is taking it's sweet-ass time getting the heck out of dodge this year. But here's some news to brighten the gloom on this rainy Friday morning: there'll be not one but TWO riverfront parks this spring and summer - Spruce Street Harbor Park, whose urban beach was voted the best in the entire world last year (really), and also Summerfest, the artist formerly known as Winterfest. It's gonna be super fab.
Opening Memorial Day, a whole month sooner than SSHP opened last summer, the two parks will offer a veritable bounty of activities: you'll find all the fixings of last year's SSHP, with its urban beach, hammocks, and expanded restaurant offerings: The Garces Group will return with new concepts and even more food locations. But check it out: just a few minutes' walk away, Summerfest is on, and it's gonna be bonkers. The Lodge will be transformed into a boathouse-themed restaurant and venue, and outside? A full-sized roller skating rink, a skate rental facility (roller skates AND inline skates), and tons of food options.
