Ahoy! Fingers Crossed for Water Taxis

Did you know that Philly has a triad of 22-person water taxis? The William Penn, the Stephen Girard, and the Ben Franklin have been sitting pretty out on dry land for over a decade now. After they were purchased in 2003 for just over $500,000 total, financing fell through and the boats never once broke the murky surface of the Delaware. "But if all goes well with the Delaware River Port Authority, the Waterfront Corp. says you'll be able to finally ride in one of the city's water taxis for the first time this summer." [Billy Penn]
