Live On Elfreth's Alley, Expect a Tourist or Two Over For Dinner

New, 1 comment

Take a glimpse into life on Elfreth's Alley, dubbed "America's oldest continuously inhabited street." Once home to Dolly Madison, Betsy Ross, and countless working families who would often pack into the tiny 18th-century homes several to a house while still using the ground floor as a store, the street is now mostly inhabited by families and couples, and swarms of tourists who will take pictures through your windows and even walk right in your house while you're having dinner. Guess it comes with the territory.

Via Billy Penn: "It's a miracle this street is still here because you always have developers wanting to do weird things." >>
