True story: the editor of this blog, while living abroad as a teenager, had to convince her British history teacher that Philadelphia was not, in fact, a far-flung borough of New York. Much like prickly Canadians who scoff at the idea they could possibly be mistaken for Americans, Philadelphians tend to balk at any comparisons with New York City, our glitzier sister to the North. But although this listing almost lost us, with its sadly misdirected "SOHO meets Center City!!!" intro front and center, we must admit that this two-bedroom, two-bath loft, asking $449,000, is pretty rad, even if it's not in SOHO. The residence includes deeded parking, there's a fitness center on the property, and inside you'll find 20-foot ceilings, an entire wall of windows, exposed brick, and a pretty special master bath.
