Perhaps Like The Pyramids, These Columns Were Alien-Wrought

From the outside, and even most of the inside, this five-bedroom 19th century Rittenhouse home appears quite predictably vanilla. Asking $1,950,000, the abode features all the bits and bobs one might expect from an almost 4,000 square-foot mansion on that stretch of Delancey above the park: soaring ceilings, light hardwood floors with oak trim, crown moldings and wainscoting, the original grand staircase and several ornate marble fireplace mantles. But then this family room, with its "unique post-modern pillars with pediments and indirect lighting" happens, and all of a sudden, you're in a David Bowie music video. There's a small patio, a finished basement, and the seller is offering one year one car prepaid parking at 22nd and Pine.
