Just when you thought the spring's goings on at the Delaware River couldn't get more amazeballs, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) announced that under its management, the RiverLink Ferry will be expanding its fleet and extending its season.
The expanded RiverLink Ferry System includes the 517 passenger ferry, Freedom, and at select times throughout the season will include three twenty-two passenger water taxis, creating a comprehensive marine transportation service. Per the press release, "it is DRWC's goal to provide a seamless connection to both sides of the Delaware River to further enhance visitor and resident experiences."
Highlights of the updated schedule (details can be found on the RiverLink official website) include an extended run from May 22nd through Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
