Modern Penthouse with Pool Gets More Than $1M Trim

Here's another sad tale of a luxurious Philadelphia penthouse that just won't sell. We've seen a few of these lately. But instead of sweetening the deal with, say, a Mercedes Benz, the owners of this 3,400 square-foot custom penthouse got straight down to business. The price for the eye-poppingly pretty three-bedroom residence at 101 Walnut Street has taken a deep dive: down more than $1,000,000 than its last listing price, to be exact. It's now listed at $2,350,000 (and no longer under the banner of Kurfiss Sotheby's International). But: the bells and whistles of the pad haven't budged: finishes by Phillip Jeffries and Walker Zanger, Porcelonsa bath fixtures, two elevators (one to take you to the Penthouse, and yet another to bring you to the den and master suite), an outdoor kitchen, and of course, that pool.
