Upsala Is Up for Grabs as the Search for a New Steward Is On

Upsala. Ever heard of it? If you're into architecture, you may have: it's one of the city's best examples of Federalist buildings (that also happened to be a key staging ground to prepare the fight against the British in the 1777 Battle of Germantown).

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is hoping to share this cultural treasure with a new owner; they've issued an RFP to solicit ideas to solidify the building's cultural and financial future.

Luckily, as Philly.com reports, the area is in an upswing of new businesses, eateries, and mixed-use projects. Housing prices have been rising since 2012.

Who will acquire this property that sits on 2.5 acres? And how do you price such a one of a kind place? BTW, changing the exterior is out of the question. Portions of the interior, but only after approval by the National Trust. The RFP has an October 6 deadline, so get to thinking and applying if you've got the ticket for this gem of a house.
