Luxury high-rise condo buildings are currently under construction throughout the city, from Tom Scannapieco’s 500 Walnut right by Independence Mall to Carl Dranoff’s One Riverside on the Schuylkill Banks. They’re all asking a pretty penny for their multi-bedroom units, some which span an entire floor of the building. But for those looking for something smaller with an even smaller price tag, there are plenty of already-built 1-bedroom condos on the market listed for less than $1 million.
Behold, the 10 most expensive 1-bedroom condos currently for sale in Philadelphia, courtesy of real estate analytics firm Neighborhood X. They range from $748,000 to $899,000 and 966 to 1,473 square feet.
It’s perhaps not so surprising that nearly all of the condos are located in Center City—three of them are in the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton and another trio are located in Two Liberty Place.
The only non-Center City 1-bedroom condo is over in Chestnut Hill at One West, the neighborhood’s first development in 20 years. Its $875,000 price tag makes the 1,323-square-foot condos one of the most expensive 1-bedrooms in Philadelphia.
But, as Neighborhood X co-founder Constantine Valhouli points out, "While 1 West Hartwell Lane #3C has the second-highest listing price, on a per-square-foot basis it was priced near the bottom of the top 10 most expensive 1-bedroom condos."
