Rare contemporary home on edge of Philly chops off $200K

It hasn’t been offered in three decades

A contemporary home that hasn’t been offered in three decades has just chopped $200,000 of its asking price, bringing it down to $1.5 million.

The 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is all windows, sitting on 2.15 acres on Northwestern Avenue on the very edge of Northwest Philly. From seemingly every room there are views of the property’s lush organic garden (no chemicals ever used, per the listing) and koi fish pond.

The 2,948-square-foot property also includes a cottage, which is impressive in its own right. Like the main house, it features plenty of windows that let natural light stream into the living area and bedroom.

The home originally hit the market in November for $1,700,000.
