Cozy Trinity in Society Hill Asks $300K

The home, built in 1881, is a mix of old and new

Since we last wrote about this tiny Trinity in November, it’s undergone a bit of a staging makeover yet is still as quaint as ever. But will it help the 806-square-foot home sell after nearly seven months on the market and two price cuts?

The 2-bedroom, 1-bath home in Society Hill is located in a gated pedestrian-only street that shares a courtyard with 10 other homes. Inside features all the cozy details you’d expect of a Trinity: A fireplace in the living room as soon as you enter, exposed brick walls, and those winding, wooden stairs.

But as mentioned before, the home, which was built in 1881, has had some changes made to it since we last checked in, including a new paint job, new countertops in the kitchen, and energy-efficient windows.

Despite its size, the location is worth noting, says real estate agent Karrie Gavin: At 509 S. Hancock Street, you’re less than a block from South Street, Headhouse Square, and a short walk to the Delaware Riverfront. The asking price of this abode stands at $300,000.
