Development company Pearl Properties has posted a rendering of Cambria Hotel, a 206-room hotel planned for the northeast corner of Broad and Locust streets.
Inga Saffron, architecture critic for the Philadelphia Inquirer, tweeted about the new rendering yesterday.
Pearl Properties is putting out designs faster than I can write them. This hotel would replace a Broad St. garage. pic.twitter.com/MSvKfyO3ZS

According to a press release from November 2015, the Cambria Hotel will be a business and travel brand of Choice Hotels. In addition to "oversized" hotel rooms, it will feature a a contemporary bistro called the Social Circle and a fine-dining restaurant on the first floor.
As Saffron noted in her tweet, this isn't Pearl Properties' only project in the works in Center City. It's also behind the Beacon, a 14-story residential tower going up at 1533 Walnut Street, the 32-story tower at 19th and Chestnut (i.e. formerly Boyd Theatre), and the conversion of Latham Hotel at 135 S. 17th Street back into apartments—to name just a few of its 36 Philly-based projects.
The Cambria Hotel is expected to open in 2017.
