After a three-year hiatus, the 2016 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts hosted by the Kimmel Center kicked off this weekend with various awe-inspiring art performances throughout the city.
Article 13, a sand-and-fire installation at Penn's Landing, started the festival off this past weekend and told the story of immigration around the world.
Missed it? Not to worry: The festival runs until April 23 and there are 60-plus art performances and installations you can check out, including the dynamic Kinetic Tree on display at Kimmel Center. It was designed by Mimi Lien, a recipient of a 2015 MacArthur Genius Award and is on display through the entire festival.
Here are 10 truly beautiful and inspiring photos from the festival so far—expect many more.
