After losing its biggest tenant, developer Keystone Property Group is looking to lease 235,000 square feet of space in the iconic Rohm and Haas building at 100 Independence Mall West.
Keystone Property Group announced today that it has hired the leasing firm JLL to list its 100 Indepence Mall West building for lease. Its anchor tenant Dow Chemical Co. will move to a new space in Collegeville, Pa. later this year.
Built in 1964, the iconic 10-story structure originally served as the headquarters for the former Rohm and Haas chemical engineering company. It stands out for its use of sunscreens, made of Plexiglass.
Whoever snatches up this office space will have a pretty sweet setup, since it sits right along Independence Mall. In recent years Keystone has invested about $25 million into revitalizing the 404,118-square-foot property. It capitalized on the outdoor space, adding Independence Beer Garden and La Colombe as its ground-floor tenants. There's also an underground parking lot with 120 spaces.
