Art Collector's Society Hill Home Gets $775K Pricechop

It was built to hold a large art collection

One of the most expensive homes for sale in Philadelphia just became $775,000 cheaper.

This Society Hill stunner first listed back in November for $5,775,000, becoming the fifth most expensive home for sale in the city at the time. But it wasn't the hefty price tag that stood out to us about this property, which features four bedrooms, three full baths, and two half baths.

Really, it was the museum-like quality of the home. After all, it was built in 1990 so that the owner could house a large art collection. In addition to the various galleries on every floor of the 6,624-square-foot home, there is a inner courtyard that doubles as a sculpture garden and a solarium.

Other perks include a three-car garage and an elevator.

We'll see if the new price tag of $5,000,000 will be enough to find another art enthusiast for this home.
