Philly is throwing the Villanova men's basketball team a parade today after its jaw-dropping win against UNC at the national championship last weekend. Whether or not you plan to attend, here's what you need to know:

  • Starting Time: 1 p.m.
  • Parade route: 20th and Market streets to Dilworth Park at City Hall.
  • SEPTA bus detours: From 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. these routes will be detoured. 2, 4, 7, 16, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 44, 48, 62,124/125. You can check for detailed updates here for bus, trolley, and rail lines.
  • Post-parade: Expect delays. SEPTA says, "The evening commute, especially on the Paoli/Thorndale Line and NHSL, could be extremely heavy as the parade will end just prior to the start of the evening rush hour."
  • Parking: You should definitely either walk, bike, or take public transportation. Parking will be limited all around the parade route. Starting at 11 a.m., parking will be prohibited along Market Street between 23rd and 15th streets, and 15th Street between JFK Boulevard and Chestnut Street will be closed off.
