New construction and gut renovations in neighborhoods like Kensington and Fishtown can sometimes miss the mark. But here's one complete overhaul that we think got it just right.
This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home underwent a complete renovation that incorporated salvaged pieces and materials and custom builds to create an industrial chic modern home in East Kensington.
A wooden wall in the basement (with a wine cellar) was created using wood from next door's Parrish House project. A local metal-working craftsperson built the custom staircase, and much of the exposed brick was salvaged, as well. There are also pocket doors throughout the home.
The asking price of this home at 2136 E. Firth Street is $450,000.
