The extended-stay residences AKA Rittenhouse Square, where the likes of Jennifer Lawrence has stayed while filming Silver Linings Playbook, has announced that it will now offer nightly stays.
The move comes after 10 years serving as an extended-stay luxury residential property where travelers could rent out a unit for a week or more. According to Larry Korman, president of AKA, the decision was made to fill a void after the Four Seasons Hotel closed (it will reopen in the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center). He also points to Philly's influx of visitors in recent years.
AKA Rittenhouse Square features 78 suites and penthouses in the 12-story historic building at 18th and Walnut streets and looks right out to Rittenhouse Square. Over the past 10 years the Kormans have put $20 million into renovations. Most recently, the suites were redesigned by Edward Asfour and Nicholas Cardone.
Nightly rates for a one-bedroom suite range from $350 to $2,000.
