Jaw-Dropping Albermarle Estate in Villanova Gets $1.85M Pricechop

The asking price is now $17.9 million

One of the most jaw-dropping estates on the Main Lane just underwent another price chop to the tune of $1.85 million.

The Albermarle in Villanova, about 45 minutes outside of Philly, sits on 16.93 acres and was once part of the Ardrossan, the Montgomery Scott family's enormous estate that at one point had 40 buildings. The Albermarle home features 8 bedrooms, 9 full baths, and 4 half baths.

All of those bedrooms and bathrooms include the two twin guest houses that are on the grounds. There's also a restored clock tower with an office and a lovely stone barn that features a great room and a gym on the second floor.

The stunning home itself is nothing to scoff at, but it's really the grounds that impress. Most of the rooms were designed to have easy access to the garden terraces. There's a pool, and a stunning covered terrace that leads to a seating area, as well.

With its most recent pricechop, this Villanova estate is now on the market for $17,900,000. When we last wrote about this stunner in 2012, it was on the market for $25 million.
