See Inside a Stunning Farmhouse in West Chester Before It Lists

It's expected to list this week for just under $1M

Some homes make moving out to the 'burbs totally worth it. Take this incredible farmhouse in West Chester, which is scheduled to hit the market this week for just under $1 million.

The 4,600-square-foot, European-style farmhouse is located about 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and first started out as a ranch-style home. Eight years ago, it underwent a renovation led by White Clay Architects that included the second-story addition.

Craig Wakefield, who is handling the listing, provided Curbed Philly a sneak peek into the home before it lists.

Today, it's a two-story contemporary home with big windows, oak and concrete flooring, and large living spaces. The first floor is open and airy, and the oak floors add some warmth to the large spaces. In addition to the large kitchen and living area, there are three bedrooms and 1.5 baths on this floor.

The second floor features two wings, including the master suite and another living area. And on both levels, floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the farmhouse's backyard.

The asking price of this farmhouse in West Chester is $995,000.
