A Curbed reader gave us a helpful heads up today on the construction progress of the W Hotel in Center City. This weekend the crane went in at the 15th and Chestnut project, which began construction in May 2015.

While there will be one 52-story building on site, two hotels will be located on the premises with separate entrances: There will be 295 rooms under the W Hotel flag and 460 rooms under the Element by Westin.
It's expected to cost $359 million and construction should be complete in spring 2018.
