With the recent news that construction on the Target store at 11th and Chestnut is nearing completion, we had to check out the site for ourselves. Indeed, things are looking good at 1128 Chestnut, the future site of the city’s first "flexible format" Target.
Here’s what the site looked like yesterday:
PhillyMag reported in May that the official opening date is July 20. The 19,000-square-foot store is part of a mixed-use development by Brickstone that will include 112 high-end apartments and a CVS and Starbucks.
The second Center City Target location at the former Boyd Theater site is scheduled to open later this month, too.
