Robert McElroy Midcentury Modern Gem Lists for $699K

It's tucked into a sloped hill

Be still, midcentury modern-loving hearts. Another Robert McElroy-designed gem, tucked away in a woodsy suburb of Philly, has just listed for the first time in 14 years.

The 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home is located in Penn Valley, near the edge of the Schuylkill River and about a half-hour from city limits. It's surrounded by tall trees, a typical landscape of McElroy's homes in the area that were designed during the 1950s through 1970s.

This particular midcentury modern home was designed by the architect in 1965 and features so many of his classic details: A diamond-shaped roof, tall vaulted ceilings, and large windows that allow for almost 360-degree views of the woodsy property.

It is 2,912 square feet and sits on .79 acres. The asking price of this home is $699,000.

Editor's note: Due to an MLS error, a previous version of this article stated that the home was located in Narberth. It is located in Penn Valley.
