Frank Weise Home is a Modern Treasure in Rittenhouse Square

The rowhome surprises on the inside

If we asked, "Which one of these is not like the others?", this contemporary three-story home in Rittenhouse Square would certainly fit the bill. It sits on Waverly Street among the brownstones and townhomes of Rittenhouse Square, yet it's special in its own right.

Designed by local architect Frank Weise, known for his modern marvels in the area, it's now on the market for $614,500. That's a steal for the neighborhood, where homes typically come with at least $1 million price tags. And while the curb appeal of the home may left something to be desired, what's behind the arched door makes up for it.

Within the 1,300-square-foot home there are three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. There are plenty of custom-designed details worth pointing out, including the built-in benches in the dining area and the three-story windows at the rear, which make for a light-and-airy home.

Recent renovations include the kitchen, and a very interesting—and huge—master bathroom. There's also a roof deck.
