It's 134 years old

Sandwiched right between Manayunk and East Falls on the edge of the Wissahickon is this 19th-century home that has just landed on the market after undergoing a restoration.

The 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home was built in 1882, and many of the original details were restored during the renovations. The wrap-around porch is new, but some of the original posts remain. The front doors were also restored, as were the cornices and decorative elements of the exterior gable.

As an ode to the home’s location, one of the original fireplace mantles features beautiful tiling that includes an image of the Wissahickon Creek in the center.

Interestingly, the restored 2,915-square-foot twin is now part of a new development that also includes seven newly-built townhomes. The asking price of the Queen Anne twin located at 145 Sumac Street is $499,900.
