A few months ago we offered a rarely seen peek inside the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House, a historic venue that sits on North Broad Street slowly decaying away. But while Curbed Philly’s tour stuck to the auditorium, some folks recently had the chance to zoom through the whole space, dilapidated balconies and all, at up to 100 miles per hour.
About a month ago, a group called the Philly Quad Squad went inside the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House to race drones for a segment on CSN Philly’s 700 Level Show. True, the 2:45-minute video is more about the drone racing than the opera house, but it still allows viewers to sneak a unique peek through the space.
