Rustic Old City rowhome charms with extra space, asks $459K

Those hardwood floors though

A light and airy home in Old City with gorgeous hardwood floors has just hit the market, and can be yours for $459,000.

If that price tag sounds too high for a tiny space, consider the stats: It clocks in at 1,238 square feet and features three bedrooms and two full baths. It's located on what was historically known as Captain's Row—ship captain's built the homes and lived here for some 200 years, according to the seller.

What’s nice, too, is that despite the upgrades for more space, much of the home’s original character remains intact. The extra-wide hardwood floors are pretty great, and the wood-burning fireplaces still work, too, says listing agent Ryan McManus.

There’s also room to breathe: An backyard patio is just off the modernized kitchen, and glass-sliding doors open to a third-floor deck off one of the bedrooms.

You can check out the home this weekend’s open house on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Editor's note: A previous version of this article stated that the home was a Trinity based on the listing's description. The seller clarified this home in particular is in the Captain's Row-style.
