A massive estate in Huntington Valley that starred as the home of Apollo Creed in the latest Rocky movie Creed is up for auction.
The 16,310-square-foot home is just 22 miles from city limits, and served as the backdrop of the movie when Apollo’s widower voices her concerns to Adonis (played by Michael B. Jordan) about the perils of boxing.
But that’s just one interesting anecdote about the 6-bedroom, 5.5-bath home, which was built in 1993. It’s been on and off the market for some time now, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer, and is now up for auction on November 2.
The home features luxurious finishes like a marble master bath, chandeliers, and granite floors. And there’s plenty of room for entertaining: On the lower level there’s a movie theater, wet bar, arcade room, and guest suite. Outside, there’s a pool and "park-like setting" dotted with statues, according to the broker babble.
But check it out yourself: There are three open houses in October.
- Thursday, October 6 from 4-6 p.m.
- Sunday, October 9 from 12-2 p.m.
- Saturday, October 22, from 12-2 p.m.
Like what you see? The live call-out auction is on November 2 at 6 p.m. at the home.
